Travel - Montana 2017

Here are a few pics from the trip to Montana. We flew into Missoula. We stayed at Flathead Lake, which is right next to Polson. Flathead Lake is an absolutely beautiful clear lake and they take drastic measures to keep it clear. While we were there they were experiencing a sort of heat wave. I felt like I was in SC. That also meant the lake was warm for swimming.

For those that do not know, we went to Montana for Uncle Matt and Aunt Kara's wedding. We stayed at Kara's parents' house. BEAUTIFUL! Cacy was a flower girl in the wedding. She did a great job, I was so proud. The first petal she dropped, she picked it back up to put in her basket. She had a little help from the Bride, and she got the hang of it. Once she had done her job, she came to sit with me - and promptly fell asleep!

A couple of things to note. The sun rose at 5:30 am and set at 10:30 pm. That coupled with the two hour time difference, and Cacy's need to constantly go go go, was a recipe for disaster. There were times when she was herself. And then there were times when she was "unmanageable" (the nicest word I can think of right now). At one point I actually wanted to cry. It took about two weeks after returning home to get her back to normal. And she IS back. Thank God!

What did we do? I'm so glad you asked. Mostly we hung around the house and attended wedding events. But we did branch out on our own a bit.
- Kerr Dam
- Cove Deli Pizza
- Red Dragon playground in Missoula (we were there for about 2 minutes, it was overwhelming for her)

What did we miss?
- The Glacier Tour
- The Carousel (she just couldn't wait in line - I donated the tokens and took her away screaming yet again. But at that point I knew she was exhausted.)

FUN FACT -  There was a earthquake in Lincoln, MT while we were there. I believe it registered 5.8. Lots of people felt it, but we slept right through!

The flight back was uneventful. I got some great pictures flying into Chicago. We both slept quite a bit on the flights and when we got to Charlotte, we had to taxi for a very very very long time. Apparently the airport had been shut down for a few hours due to the weather that day and they were pretty backed up. Daddy picked us up, and drove us home!
